Hunter Pence traded

Speculation started to swirl when news broke that Hunter Pence was not in Wednesday’s starting lineup. Some of that attention subsided when Pence explained he had been told he was getting a day off.

However, it’s now been confirmed that Hunter Pence has been traded to the Phillies. Interestingly, Roy Oswalt was traded exactly one year ago today. Ed Wade must secretly have a deal lined up to return to Philadelphia when future owner Jim Crane decides to let him go.

The Astros acquired 19-year-old, OF/1B Jonathan Singleton,  21-year-old RHP, Jarred Cosart, and 24-year-old RHP, Josh Zeid. The Astros will also receive a player to be named later. Cosart hails from Clear Creek, TX.
